What is the difference between being a registered patient and a non-registered patient at the Southern Independent Medical Practice in Salisbury?
There is no difference in the expert medical care we give to you as a registered patient or as a non-registered patient. Non registered patients can have any medical test we have available individually as and when they need them. Click here to view our list of medical services available.
As a registered patient the benefits you receive are as follows:

- View your Vaccination records
- View your Allergies List
- View your date of last "Healthcheck"
- The use of the NHS for all investigations and hospital referrals through the Practice (including emergency care) at no cost. Patients who wish to have private hospital care are referred on a private basis to a specialist of their choice
- Fees by subscription, which can be paid annually, or monthly by Direct Debit
- Special subscription rates for families, which includes all children under 21
- The Practice has its own dispensary from which medicines are provided. Prescribing costs are kept as low as possible and many drugs cost significantly less than the current prescription charge
- Complete health check on registration
- For patients who wish more detailed health screening, the practice has available a very full range of screening facilities
- General medical services
- Routine detailed assessment of health, both for adults and children

You can use all our health screening facilities and health services and we offer one-off consultations with one of our doctors, for any individual with a specific health concern.
